I think Intel is developing super wifi which will be released in a year.

Interesting point.  I know Telstra/Clear have laid fibre optic cable in many
CBD's around the country.  But I can't imagine them doing every suburban
street in the country for at least several decades if at all.

The best option for the future may be broadband wireless if enough
frequencies are available.
