Changing the name will not solve anything, 99.9% of the resources to support the community still come from SMI, so we will have to deal with SMI one way or another; the best we can do right now is try to work with them to create a reasonable framework to solve this and future issues. On the other side, i'd love to use the openUNIX name :)
