I had volunteered as well, however, the greater question is when will the 
volunteers get notified of who, and when they can participate in this capacity. 
 I think there is a lot of discussion on how to do something rather than 
letting the volunteers figure it out on the their own once they are 
commissioned to do it.

Get us involved.  The other thread here about Projects is just too damn long to 
read or catch up on.  Maybe it would be more appropriate to use the Sun JES 
Instant Messaging tool for these small short blurbs, in a recorded chat room, 
and leave the emails for easily followed threads of continuous information.  
You may even open the door to more interaction within the community.

I was going to volunteer as a community member and as a marketing 
professional. I feel I could add value to a committee that is reviewing 
web content (if that is in fact the intent of this committee as I believe).

I don't think it is appropriate to put employment restrictions on this 
or any committee - in the same way that it would not be appropriate for 
a committee to be formed that requires Sun employment.
