At the risk of the kettle calling the pot names, I'm hard put to tell the difference between LDOM and ON - after all, ON was opensourced via a management dictate, it hasn't really transformed completely from closed to open design and development - certainly not as speedy as a drop of a hat, and I'm pretty sure not all the existing ON developers are committed to (much less engaged in) Open design and development.... Lets not hold new communities hostage to rules and expectations that we ourselves can't fully meet. > Expect the best (of people) - plan for the worst.... Expect the best, build process around the assumption that people will do the right thing, & make sure that you have a lightweight exception handling process that can deal with the rare instances where someone plays nasty.
