Ray,

I am very excited to hear this proposal and about the prospect of the
Sun Ray software being made available to the open source community.

I would like to point out to you the existence of the Sun Shared
Visualization software which adds the capability of hardware-accelerated
3D to the the Virtual Client portfolio.

Sun Shared Visualization software is based on VirtualGL, an open source
project led by Sun engineers in the graphics and visualization group.

We have recently started a Visualization project on opensolaris.org,
sponsored by the HPC community, that includes this and other
visualization software. The Virtual Client community should also be
interested in this project.

Thanks,

Linda
