Exactly right.
The clerk you talked to needs to drop the crack pipe.
WotC is not upset about this, they loved it. To
paraphrase Ryan, this is why they are doing d20, to
get product support like the CC.
The CC cant replace the MM. Just like the Fiend Folio
was not a replacement for the MM. Its supplemental to
the MM. There is not a single person (well maybe like
4 people max) who would buy the CC and not the MM. And
that isnt what it was designed to do.
No one in the industry is concerned over this book.
Nor would we expect them to be.
