Had a player recently tell me that his Half Orc Barbarian 'does a Stone Cold
Stunner' to the troll and then will circle the fallen foe, taunting.
Needless to say, the troll demonstrated that he doesn't believe in Wrestling
as he laid the smackdown on the Half Orc.

Egads, when WWF invades your D&D game, its time to bring in the heavy
artillery and have your Trolls do ChokeSlams from Hell..  ;)

And yes, I would say that most games eventually let real world corrupt them.
The key is to take it light heartedly, such as your group appears to do now,
and find a way to capitalize on it :)
