I have spent all weekend working on prototype D20 Supers game, now
semi-officially called "Twenty Sided Supers" to avoid trademarks (like
'D20') and remain OGL-compliant. While it's a LONG way from being done,
I've gotten to the "Hello, World" stage of game design -- I've built a
character in it! (Albeit a very basic, stereotypical one). Here it is!

Some notes on the character:
Plot Hooks can give power points, skill points, or bonus feats. Darkfyre is
a very 'power centric' character, and has bought his abilities up pretty
high for a 1st level character, as well as taking the very expensive Aura
advantage, which is why all he took was power points. I'll probably
redesign him when he's an actual sample character.

The 'Dependant on PB' modifier might seem odd without the rules. This means
the power is 'hooked' to the Power Bolt (which is, really, a manifestation
of his anti-energy force), and anything which drains/weakens that reduces
ALL linked powers. It also means none can be higher 'level' than the Power
Bolt.

Darkfyre was an experimental physicist who, as tends to happen, got caught
in a lab explosion and awoke with control over "the anti-energy" and an
incomprehsible compulsion to put on tights and fight crime. He is
surrounded by a crackling field of 'anti energy' which he can project
behind himself to fly, or shoot out to damage opponents. Anyone touching
him will be damaged by this field. He has earned the enmity of Lord
Apocalypse, an evil villain, as if you couldn't tell by the name.

And, as a special teaser, here's a Feat from the game...
Shockwave
The character can create a massive wave of force via brute strength.
Prerequisite:Str 29+
Benefit:As a move-equivalent action, the character can pound the earth with
fists or feet, generating an expanding wave of force. It acts as an attack
at half the strength of the character against everyone in the area of
effect, which is a 5 foot diameter per point of Str bonus.  (Tecton-X, with
a Str of 40 and a Str bonus of +15, creates a shockwave with a 65 foot
diameter) It does Subdual damage to all living things, and will easily
shatter windows, or even walls if the character is strong enough. (Thus,
everyone within about 32 feet of Tecton takes damage as if they had been
struck by someone with Str 20, or 1d4+5 points of Subdual damage.)
Special: If the character has Superhuman Strength, he may use that instead
of his 'combat' strength provided the normal restrictions on using that
feat are met.
