(Why am I doing this?

a)I'm excited that, after four months of nattering about thinking about it,
I've finally got enough material together to start showing people.

b)I'm interested in feedback on the basic direction I'm going in, even if
the full rules aren't yet in a state to show. (i.e, I've only really
defined the Brick, Energist, and Paragon classes, and even those have a lot
of 'add stuff here' notes, or references to Feats I haven't detailed, etc.)

But in any event, speaking of Feats...
========
Temporary Enhancement (Metapower)
The character may temporarily add an Enhancement to a power.
Prerequisite:At least one power of level 5 or higher.
Benefit:The character may spontaneously add one Enhancement to a power. The
character invests one (or more) Power Points, and may add up to 5 points
worth of Enhancements to a power per point so invested. These points are
then lost. The enhancement lasts for 5+Wisdom bonus rounds if the power is
Active, or 5+Wisdom bonus hours if the power is Passive or Innate.

Example:Darkfyre has the power Force Field, defined as a glowing field of
anti-energy which surrounds him. He realizes that the arch-villain Dr.
Armageddon is about to unleash an explosive burst. Darkfyre's force field
will protect him, but what about the unconscious form of plucky reporter
Lena Lore? Using his Temporary Enhancement Feat and an unspent power point,
Energon adds 'Radius' to his Force Field, extending it to cover Lena. Since
Force Field is an active power, and Darkfyre has a wisdom bonus of -1, his
force field will be extended for 4 rounds.

Note that there must, or at the least should, be some sense of the dramatic
in the use of this power. Rather than "Yawn. I use my Temporary Enhancement
to create a larger force field", the player should say something like, "I
concentrate mightily, straining my power to the limits, and force the
energy field to expand more than it ever has before!" Or something along
those lines.

The DM is free to overrule any use of this Feat which he finds impossible
or implausible (within the broad limits of comic books!)
