I once abused my mother so terribly in just this situation that she turned 
around WHILE DRIVING to smack me, LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR, and  went 
careening off the road into a snow bank.  Took three hours and a tow truck 
to get us out.

A defining moment in a devilish childhood.  Strangely enough she never tried 
to smack me again.
