If you play games with the point size of the "Requires Dungeons &
Dragons..." statement and put the statement on the cover of your book, you
can make it appear as if the work is if the "Dungeons & Dragons" actually
applies to your work. Imagine making most of the statement 4-point
(generally regarded to be the smallest legible point size under with
TrueType technology and 600dpi laser printers), while the "Dungeons &
Dragons" part is 48-point. Even if they do look at the fine print, they
will already have picked up your book to do it, and in the battle for shelf
space, that's about 80% of the battle.
Ryan said the lawyers caught this one before I did, so it will be prohibited
in the final version of the D20 STL.
