Isn't it though?  I am often just amazed at how our system of regulation
works . . .

Now, one DOES have to admit that WoTC spawned a FLOOD of games which (mostly
sucked) used the "tap" action because they couldn't come up with their own
method.  (Or didn't feel like taking the time.)  In this particular case, I
can see the reason to grant such a patent . . . but there have been other
cases which have been much more strange. :)

An interesting patent to grant, considering that positional changes have 
altered the effect of tarot cards for the past several hundred years :)
