I think that certainly would be possible but really against the whole spirit
of the system (not that you or anyone here would do this). The extra page
could never be "packaged" with the "Criiter Compendium" though under Ryan's
earlier post about what consitutes a product. That would lead to violation
of the OGL.
I understand this as an intellectual excercise (and not likely to be read by
many assuming this list is not that large), but it slightly alarming. The
OGL does allow for "exploitation" of other people's work WHEN they have
OGL'ed it but that is the risk you run. I think the rewards are far greater,
but I also can see an incredibly small set of cases like what you describe.
I really don't see that as a threat to the market though. Just like software
has crackers, etc. the OGL eventually is bound to have "exploiters" but that
will only mean that the OGL is a large and healthy market. Certainly it
really only has an impact for commercial efforts anyway.
Frankly, I have no problem with the Creature Collection and Steve's post
certainly made clear WW's intents. I wish them luck.
