Ahhh....  You are beginning to realize that the small producer (you)- and 
not WotC - are the ones that are eating all of the risk on this D20 deal.

(With a little effort I could pull you the quote from an interview where 
Ryan hypothesized that small companies would beat each other up on this 
while WotC basically stayed above the fray...)

But seriously, Dude you have one (and only one) solution to this quandry.  
*Never* publish anything original as open content.  This solution has 
NOTHING to do with what other people choose to do with your content - it is 
the way WotC set it up.
