There are not just two ways of refering to heroes, there are three. battle slot, caterpilar slot, and name/id Unfortunatley we can't change this, but we could indeed document it better. I was thinking maybe we need a good clean article which illustrates the difference between each method of refering to a hero. it could use screenshots with numbers superimposed over them to help readers visualize the different numbering systems.
