Like I wrote on CP, I still can't reproduce this. Do you know exactly how to
trigger it?

That sounds like a good idea. It could be done with a new map format.

Could you suggest improvements to the documentation? I can't think of any way
to better indicate that layers are being renumbered, short of layer names or
some fancy animation where the existing layers slide down the screen... hmmm...
