I just tried out the new "Test Game" feature. it failed, saying
"Couldn't connect to ohrrpgce-game" and my ?_debug.txt files said:

Hmmm... then while I was typing this e-mail, gdb caught a crash, which
produced a long stack trace that I think I will post here:
http://pastebin.com/Huk8mTB4 instead of pasting it into this e-mail

Anyway. Of special interest to me is the garbage character at the end of
'/home/james/.ohrrpgce/.lump_updates.txt' because I can't figure out
how it got there.
