Should have been clearer: simply `scons hspeak` avoids the error by using
`eubind`, but produces a far slower `hspeak` binary, while only `scons hspeak
release=1` (or `debug=0`) will use `euc`.
But compiling hspeak with `euc` takes a long time, so I'm pleased to reserve it
to release builds only.
