It was not your fault. I don't know what splix is or does but the one downloaded has a sha256 mismatch with the one in its package manifest file. It would be easier to just download the pre-compiled packages from the OpenIndiana repository rather than building them yourself in the beginning. In a Unix shell at the command line type something like man pkg or pkg5. Use it to download packages from the main repo or other repos.
