Have you measured with a callipers the ID of the manifolds in question where
they mate to the head?

received a couple
different opinions so I thought I would try again with a little more
information. I just replaced my 1951 216 (code indicates it was
originally a passenger car engine) with a rebuilt 1952 235 (code
indicates it was also originally a passenger car engine) and now want
to swap the manifolds. Some of the feedback I got here is the
manifolds are different. When I look at a parts catalog it suggests
the exhaust will fit and are the same but the intake is different.

That being said, when I put the 216's manifold on the 235, now in my
truck, it looks like it will fit perfectly. Can someone please shed
some light on this mystery? Should I just bolt it on and give it a go?

Thanks,
