Lon ;

I am sorry to hear this , join the group of old men & old trucks .

Anyways , you said you " Primed the carby " but didn't detail how .

It should have started briefly from fuel added to the carby .

If so , the rest is dead bang simple .

If it never even coughed , go rustle up a used spark plug form the floor of the
garage & connect it to the longest plug wire & prop it well against the engine
,
turn on the key and crank it a bit , regular rythmic blue or white sparks
should
been seen in the gap else there's a no spark issue .

If you see blue / white sparks , re - attach the plug wire & remove the air
filter , prop the throttle open and place the flat palm of your hand over the
carby , key on , crank it until you feel gasoline wetting your palm , the
engine's max. vacuum afforded by open throttle & palm sealing the air horn ,
will draw fuel from the tank & prime & fill the fuel pump & carby , once you
feel the gas wetting your palm , remove your hand and it should cough to life
shortly , don't let it run long with the throttle propped open ! .

I hope you're healing well ! .

Hey Group,

Let my truck sit for over 10-months pre/post Shoulder Surgery (I can hear Nate
shaking his head as he reads this).

I have charged the battery. I drained the gas. fresh gas. Replaced the fuel
filter. primed the carburator.

It turns but won't start.

When I look at the fuel filter it is bone dry. . . ? So . . . .

1) Clogged fuelline?
2) Bad Fuel Pump?
3) "Before you start it, you have to also ___________"
4) "You can also try _________________"
5) "Who are you and how did you get into our group?"

I'm sure you all can help. I feel like child at the adult table most of the
time, but I am learning from you all, as the problems arise.

Thanks in advance,

Lon
