When I built my shop about two years ago, two options I decided to go with and LOVE were:
2 ½ ton A/C and heat pump (I live in AZ, and a shop without A/C is HELL literally) A roll up garage door verse the traditional garage door. It saves on ceiling space (for a lift later) and looks much cleaner. This item wasnt taken into consideration when I built the shop, but added later. I white board, I know it sounds odd but I use it all the time. I too put tons of 110 outlets (every 6), but wish I had put in a couple more 220 outlets.
