If the pushrods are the same lengths, they will interchange. Heads will probably interchange if all the holes line up; rockers likewise. I remove the engine separately from the trans; then the trans if necessary. .bill in oregon

This engine is OPJ ( officially pronounced junk and will receive no further attention other than its removal and dismantling. I will go with the better of two '54 engines sitting in the garage sans heads. One is pretty oily and the other I can still see the blue. But someone put the wrong harmonic balancer on it and may have messed up the crank. Will my pushrods interchange? or the head and rockers? Is there a procedure? A timeline of procedures involved in a major overhaul? A recommended series of dismantling and renovation? Oddly enough I don't feel pissed as I properly should, though the prospect of transmission, engine removal replacement is not an attractive one.
