Thanks everyone for the help. I went up to Autozone today and bought a
new serpentine belt. While I was there, I asked the guy if he could get
an alternator down and let me hear what it sounds like when it spins.
He gets one down and spins it. It didn't make one full revolution before
I said, "I better take it, because mine doesn't sound like that". LOL
Installed the new alternator and belt, fired it up and bingo. No more
noise. Very Happy
Now that I had that taken care of and was taking the old alternator back
in for my core charge, the blower motor was getting on my nerves. Its
been making a nonstop squeaking noise for a year now and I've just
ignored it.
So I bought a new blower motor and installed it and now the car almost
feels and sounds as good as it was when it was brand new. Just need to
get a new hood for it (thanks to a deer) and new fog lights and it will
be brand new.
Thanks again,
Andrew Geeting
