I have used apache's confluence wiki to create this page, so it's just a wiki page. However, I notice that other apache projects keep their wiki separate from the website. Which way should we go ? I'm leaning towards the wiki (at least for now) since it means only one site to maintain.

I think that unless there's some compelling reason to have two areas, one is better. The only issue is that if we publish the wiki as the web site, all contributors to the wiki page must have Apache ICLAs on file. Which I think is fine, since it minimizes the chance that some spammer will get creative on the site.
