Amazing, looking forward to it. Because I would like to connect x86/x64 1TB USB boot hdds to SPARC systems from time to time, as huge storage, for consolidating old backups. With UFS it was not possible due to opposite endianness. With ZFS it is possible, but not with Sun VTOC, only with EFI ... ... which in turn is not yet bootable on Solaris x86/x64. As my laptop-hdd die a month ago, I depend on the USB hdds being bootable system disks. Since the 2nd identical hdd (of the two) is a mirror, my only choice for now is NFS over slow 100MBit/Sec. For the future it sounds as if it could be a Grub2 based OpenSolaris? Cool. %martin
