Personally what I'm thinking is that for the immediate future we collect a list of forwarding aliases from Oracle and use them solely for maintaining the bugzilla messaging. IOW we'd provide no means for people to change their address, and it would only continue to work when receiving mail from the issue tracker. After a period of maybe 6 months to a year we could retire that alias map entirely.
