I bring glad tidings.

The correct redirection of

http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=NNNNNN

is

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=NNNNNN

(note that there are now IDs that have anywhere from 1 to 6 digits in their
numbers).

I just tried it with

<https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=118518>

For the staging site, what needs to be rewritten is

http://ooo-site.apache.org/qa/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=NNNNNN

I don't know what to do about the general redirection of
*.openoffice.org/issues/ and whether it can be preserved on the staging site
with a single rewrite or not.

Could it be that these can all be caught at the main issues URL on
openoffice.org?

Well I'm glad I asked what I did! see below...

You are correct sir! The problem, as it is -- is that

a) someone with access to the old qa site needs to put the "issues"
directory back in, and
b) rewrite the old show_bug.cgi to use apache bugzilla instead. So it is
both a web and cgi programming problem at this point.

I could take care of both of these things if I had access -- well I have NO
idea what was in show_bug.cgi however, and that might come in handy. I'll
poke around this in a day or so and see what I can find.

Cut-over site will need retooling also...yep! but we have complete access
to that right now
