Whether of interest or not, it is a known issue on LibreOffice with at least the white AppleMotes, not sure if the newer brushed metal ones are also affected : https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33816 I couldn't see any problem with my versions of OOo 3.2.1, 3.3.0 or 3.4.0-dev (last dev build provided by Oracle).
