The general view among the active volunteers on the Forum (and, indeed, off Forum in private communications) was that it was appropriate for the Forum to specify the two major versions at this time and use inclusive language for the lesser and older versions. We are aware that a serious shift in code base may require Forum specialisation, but that day has not yet come; until then, we serve to best of our ability all strains of OpenOffice. We made our decision in 10 hours; there has been no objection. On this list we should continue to support AOO, showing generosity to others who support different forks. If we close up and ignore them, then we are behaving in the same manner for which we criticise them. Either this is a truely openSource project or it is not.
