All, I created the 4.0.1 files directory on SourceForge, put up the 4.0.1 docs and the Windows 64 package to get things started. There does not seem to be a way to start the release and have it hidden.
I'll put up the 32 bit Windows package some time today when I'm back on a 32-bit machine. Probably a 64 bit Ubuntu package if I get to it. I added beta1 to the package name: ooRexx-4.0.1.x86_64.beta1.exe and will follow that naming convention. I.e., the naming convention we have been using with "beta1" inserted right before the final extension. I can't remember the exact format we used for the 4.0.0 beta(s). I'm not sure when we should announce it, but I'm for just announcing it now and saying packages will be added over time as they get built. Oh, I just named the release directory 4.0.1. But, with SourceForge's new directory-centric release manager, it could easily be renamed to 4.0.1.beta1, then the same directory renamed to 4.0.1.beta2 if / when we do a second beta, and then renamed again to just 4.0.1 for the final release. The files within the directories are easy to delete also, so for each directory name change, just delete the existing files and put up the new ones. -- Mark Miesfeld ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval Try the new software tools for yourself.
