Hi Mark,

Thank you for the message addressing all of my questions or many of them.
I didn't get a chance to read it in detail, as I was on my phone at the
time I noticed it arrive.

Before logging out of Windows, I sent a message to the list with my current
observations of ooRexx 4.2.0.9892. I found several issues, including:

   - Possible uninstall / install of RXAPI on Windows (most likely my
mistake, but maybe it could be too easy for end-users to goof . . I don't
   know.)
   - 3 Failures in a run with RXQueue
   - Possible problem with the test suit, itself and the directory path
where I have the test suite residing.

Given I tried to collect as much data as possible, I ran all the various
tests and flags you previously discussed with me, such as -f and -s. In
the end with all of what I typed and copied / pasted, the result was a 78K
or so message. It is sitting waiting approval, as it is over the 40K
limit. I thought about going back and redoing it all over again and
splitting it into multiple messages, but also figure (was hoping) you're
one of the moderator who can read pending messages.

As you and Rick are the ones I'm addressing it to, it really only needs to
go to you. Yet, sharing it with everyone might encourage others to help as
well as teach them something beyond how much I "talk" via email. It is all
up to you. If you want I can resend the email directly to you, too.

I think that is it. Reading in detail your reply is on my to do list for
this weekend or earlier.

Last but not least a very important question: I did notice a message with
an URL to the latest version of ooRexx 4.2.0. As it came in AFTER I went
to 4.2.0.9892, I need to ask is 4.2.0.9892 the latest candidate version or
should I find the URL again and upgrade again?

Take care,

Bert Moshier

P.S. As for supplying test cases, what can I read to learn more about it?
I'm asking as I learned Rexx while working at Cray Research and then I also
worked with Dick Goran for several years, before his passing. Sigh ...
still hurts, but I understand. Unfortunately, most of my work (as well as
Dick's, obviously) is procedural not object oriented. I'm open to learning
the oo part of Rexx, but just haven't found the learning aid (e.g. person,
book, etc to help me through it).
