Other test patterns like a box with an X in it the size of the screen. Would the X11 "blank screen" (the single-pixel checkerboard pattern it uses) be useful? I've always thought of it as a monitor test, but maybe useful for a video card? Also, a few months ago, a there was a lot of talk about gamma correction. Would displaying colors (or greys) that are gamma-adjusted linear gradients be useful?
This is more of a "does the hardware work" test. We're quite far from having anything that can have any kind of normal display. Here, I'm talking about writing Verilog code that does nothing but generate sync signals. Just a little bit of logic for the FPGA that just has a few counters. _______________________________________________ Open-graphics mailing list [email protected] http://lists.duskglow.com/mailman/listinfo/open-graphics List service provided by Duskglow Consulting, LLC (www.duskglow.com)
