You can sign the letter with your own name all you like.

Oh, I wasn't worried about signing the letter in relation to or
affiliation with OGP, more that I don't have a good position to argue
in this thread against sending that sort of message to the list, if my
own actions help rationalize sending it.

My opinion, I think, is that it's OK to forward relevant pages to a
mailing list, but it's much better to compose your own message than to
use the website to forward the page. It helps tailor your message to
the audience instead of using the website's generic message, and makes
it seem like less of an unwelcome advertisement.
