Anyway, I've been wondering if we could use a Chrome GPU with
the openchrome driver that has Xv and XvMC support to build a
fanless ethervideo box? Can we get enough CPU without a fan?
Interesting new type of heat sink:

http://www.edn.com/article/CA6625122.html?industryid=47193&nid=2437&rid=926513285

designed for natural convection cooling.

Looks like a heatsink having a bad hair day. :-)

Says that it is good for high brightness LEDs. Don't think that it will
work for my application I am trying to design and LED post light.
Can't seem to come up with anything that doesn't use a piece of
seriously large Al tubing and some other Al to go with it. Am
considering a fan. :-|

"LED post light" that needs serious heatsinking? Surely a small
7 segment display to display a mainboard's "post code" wouldn't need
a heatsink? Is this a light mounted on a post to illuminate the
backyard?

Front walk actually. It needs to replace a 75W incandescent bulb.
