Primary Technical Skill Set:
1. Business Objects Administration experience on XI3
2. Business Objects Administration experience in a Linux/Unix environment

Ancillary Technical Skill Set:
1. SAP, SharePoint, and LDAP integration
2. Universe, Report, Dashboard development experience
3. BO XI4


Job Description
Responsible for maintenance of Business Objects environments including
installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, monitoring and backups.
Will partner with Enterprise Architecture and application teams to design
Business Objects solutions and be responsible for activities such as
conceptual design, detail technical specifications and technical
documentation. Participates in the design, development, testing,
implementation and documentation of the solution.


Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities
• Plan and perform environment consolidation/reduction/optimization.
• Perform and maintain integration with SAP, SharePoint, Identity
Management, and other applications.
• Provide 24x7 platform support. Complete service requests and problem
cases.
• Manage and track Business Objects and associated tool license usage,
provide input for long range licensing plans and optimization.
• Assists in estimating tasks and the preparation of project plans
• Recommends methods for improved work processes, detailing the process’s
strengths and answering clients’ questions to gain group consensus. Tracks
internal trends and suggests process improvements based on observations.
• Measures performance of the newly implemented solutions against desired
results and recommends basic improvements; demonstrates a strong sense of
ownership for outcomes.
• Questions current methods, while evaluating broad implications, to
develop practical improvements. Focuses on achieving goals rather than a
fear of failure.

Experience
• 2 to 4 years of experience in required technologies and qualifications

Qualifications (Minimum Education or Equivalent)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

- Business Objects Administration (Content and Server)
- Business Objects Universe and report development
- Business Objects deployments
- Business Objects integration experience with LDAP, SAP, SharePoint etc.
- Ability to incorporate the observations into process changes.
- Ability to communicate in a crisp, concise and clear manner.
- Self-starter and highly motivated.
