All,

it was proposed to send the minutes of our jabber meetings to the -devel list
too, hopefully improving the transparency of the 1.6.x release process.

Regards,
        Stephan

=== bugs reported against 1.6.3pre2 ===

A client crash with Linux kernel 3.9.2 (the current Fedora kernel)was reported
for the case that the cache fs is tmpfs or btrfs. Marc can provide a fix for
tmpfs. Andrew will try to reproduce the btrfs problem.

It's not clear that either of those would warrant delaying the 1.6.3 release.

=== 1.6.3 release: Linux 3.10 support ===

Patches from Marc for the current state of 3.10 are in gerrit for master and
will be pulled up for 1.6.x. Linux 3.10 is expected to be released before we
could get 1.6.4 out, thus 1.6.3 should support it if possible. The changes are
rather simple and thus ok to include at this point. Maybe even without another
public prerelease.

=== binaries for 1.6.3pre2? ===

Stephen started building for RH Linux. Fedora and EL6 are done, EL5 is still
missing. Derrick will provide an OS X installer. Stephan will upload what's
available and announce them on -info, which may get us some more feedback.

=== 1.6.3 release: timing ===

Hard deadlines make little sense since we depend on volunteers for everything.
We'll strive for tagging 1.6.3 within a few weeks.
