Hi all,

Just wanted to give you a heads up that the AIX buildbot will be upgraded to a current AIX Technology Level tomorrow, Swedish time. It should take about an hour, longer if I get distracted by other things and forget to reboot it afterwards ;)

After a mere 549 day uptime I thought it best to upgrade it from AIX 6.1 TL04 (unsupported since November 2011) to AIX 6.1 TL08, which will be supported until November 2015).

As I know there was kernel header changes between TL04 and TL05 (if I remember correctly) the AFS kernel module built on TL08 won't work on pre-TL05 machines. There might be other boundary conditions, but that's one I know of at least.

/Nikke
