Hi all,

we are experiencing some strange things when using an openAFS client on Mac
OS/X ( 10.10 and 10.11 , using the 1.6.6 installer ).
I have the impression both are related :

1. removing a folder in Finder (sometimes) does not work. Finder complains
about not having sufficient permissions to remove the folder. When opening a
terminal and removing it with rm, I can remove the folder. So there is a
discrepancy between the permissions Finder thinks I am having, and the
permissions I have.

2. I cannot save anything from Office for Mac on an AFS folder. I think it has
a similar root cause. Office doe create a temporary folder inside the folder. I
assume it builds the XML structure in there. After the error dialog in Office
stating it cannot access the temporary folder, I do find this temporary folder
in the afs folder and I do have the correct permissions.

Does anybody have the same experience ?
Are there solutions / work-arounds ?

Thanks,

Tim
