G'day,

I've developed a simple Web service that provides the ability to run OpenBabel similarity searches against a Fast Index file.

We'd like to contribute the code to the open source community, and were wondering whether the OpenBabel project was appropriate, in particular, a sub-directory of contributed/trunk/java?

If so, then can I be added as a developer to the Open Babel project? My SF.net ID is "cpudney".

The Web service is built using the Simple Framework : http://www.simpleframework.org/

It allows you to submit RESTful requests of the form:

http://example.com/simsearch?smiles=

O%3DC1C2%3DC(N%3DCN2C)N(C(%3DO)N1C)C

and have the search results returned in CSV format (ID,SMILES,Tanimoto coefficient).

The source-code provides a framework for adding other services that invoke babel commands.

Regards,
Chris.
