I agree. I'd prefer to see all engines support the JavaScript syntax
(and several people have open ERs for Adobe to add that support).

For me it's right up there with optional semicolon:

Supports optional semicolon:
- JavaScript
- ActionScript
- Groovy
- Scala
- Railo's CFSCRIPT

Does not support optional semicolon:
- Adobe's CFSCRIPT

Not sure what OpenBD does here - but you can see why I think ; should
be optional in CFSCRIPT...
