absolutely --- Vince is merely inviting us all to rethink about the actual problem and look at what serves CFML developers best. Nothing ruled out.
For me, i don't know we have the PROBLEM defined yet. For me, ORM is just another framework that snuck into the core engine! ;) we have to be careful not to alienate people -- just because a solution doesn't utilise ORM, doesn't mean it is less valuable or useful. It is merely another string to the infinite bow that is software development.
