Hi Matt !
Further investigation brought the following enlightenment:
- JSP Custom Tag Libs usually come with a TLD file; this is in XML
format
- The file I want to import IS a TLD file; only it has the
extension .xml instead of .tld
WRT the documentation of cfimport:
ADOBE ColdFusion: USING CUSTOM JSP TAGS IN A COLDFUSION PAGE:
- "If the TLD file is not included in the JAR file, use the .tld
extension in place of the .jar extension."
RAILO:
<cfimport
taglib = "Path to a custom tag library or a jsp tld"
So yes: Importing Custom JSP Tags via a TLD file is business as usual,
no niche use case !
I have renamed 'iscTaglib.xml' to 'iscTaglib.tld'; but still OpenBD
does not seem to digest it ...
Cheers and Tschüss
Kai
