I think the answer is different... I was thinking GNU/Linux instead of
thinking OpenBSD!

Since I also have to use the disks with systems with GNU/Linux on
them, I can just format the disks to ffs and then

mount -t ufs -o ufstype=44bsd /dev/... /openbsd from GNU/Linux

but this requires  support into the kernel. I guess you have to enable
CONFIG_UFS_FS &
CONFIG_UFS_FS_WRITE and compile a new kernel and that's it

I know that compiling kernels is something you (we) o'bsd users are
not doing everyday but I am used to, since in GNU/Linux there is not
such a strong (and nice) unification; OS is kernel + software, whilst
in o'bsd I've got the feeling (so far, after 1 week) that the kernel
and the system are almost a single thing.
