Yes, tnx, also found this after reading the man pages with more attention to
detail ... No 'IBSS' mode is reported in the malo man. But then, why does
ifconfig -m malo0 advertise the ibss mediaopt? I can even set this, but no
results yet. Is this a cliffhanger?
This one also seem to lack 'host AP', that would also be nice to have.
I was confused, and did not get the version 2 vs 3 of the WG311 board, which is
a totally different beast. Me Stupid. I'll just try if I can get a usable
response from Netgear about this.
For others reading the list:
v2 uses the TI ACX (can do all the things I want)
v3 uses the Marvell 'Libertas' (quote irony)
I'm impressed with OpenBSD wlan support, great.
(...and the man pages rule as well...)
