I think that there is now a dependancy on Perl 5.8.* for OpenCA 0.9.2.
I was having errors of this nature until I upgraded my perl.

I dont know general issues with this perl version so it should work.
For your presentation: Might it be a solution for you to use the public demo system: demo.openca.info
Otherwise I suggest reinstalling the whole stuff - this should go in an hour and hopefully bring up a working system.
