1. Take 0923 tarball from 

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/openca/openca-0.9.2.3.tar.gz?download

instead.

2. My guess is that your error has nothing to do with OpenCA
and its new release.
Either your cvs session terminated abnormally, 
or your_options conflict with your system configuration 
status, or your system lacks something essential altogether, 
like sh or bash. 

If you still want community to consider conf issues of your system,
redirect your ./configure output to the file and present relevant part of it 
along with your_options and discription of your system.
