Hello,

I've seen many questions regarding Towitoko chip drive and Giesecke &
Devrient PCT-200 terminals on this list. Therefore, I want to share a
solution for those:

I am accessing the cards over the CT-API-Protocol. This Protocol was
developped for the german health care market (you might find details at
www.teletrust.de), but is also used by the Linux drivers in the
m.u.s.c.l.e. project.
I have installed the newest Version of the Towitoko drivers, which you can
find here: http://www.fiso.de/dbu/2150/linkd/v21421/zip
Installing those, you will find (among others) a file "cttwkw32.dll" in
your systems directory.

I used the OCF for CT-API from Cardcontact, which you will find here (it's
open source):
http://www.cardcontact.de/download/driver/driverdownload.htm
You need their java classes ad the wrapper library (I suppose that this is
what it is) called "jni2ctapi.dll".
However, instead of using the cteco5000.dll cardcontact supplies, you use
the towitoko cttwkw32.dll, yust by writing:

de.cardcontact.opencard.terminal.ctapi4ocf.CTAPICardTerminalFactory|ChipDrive|CTAPI|2|cttwkw32
in your opencard.properties (instead of cteco500 at the end)

This solution works without any changes for the G &D PCT-200. Well, maybye,
you may change the terminal name "ChipDrive" in your properties. This
terminals looks quite similar to Towitokos "ChipDrive extern" and is
recognized as such by Towitoko's SmartCard Explorer.

Some Remarks:

G&D supplies an own OCF Driver with their SDK, but this one builds on top
of javax.comm. It does not work, if another application on the same system
has caused scard32.exe to run (or only if you shoot that). I think this is
because it wants to bind to the com port, which is blocked by scard32.exe.
The Towitoko drivers, however, claim (and appear) to cope with acces by
different frameworks without trouble.

Towitoko claim to have OCF support in their package. In the toolkit doku,
they refer to a file named "gen_twt.dll". I have no Idea how this is
supposed to refer to OCF, since I would expect something like a jar :-o. I
asked their support, they only refer to the opencard page, (which refers to
the towitoko page in turn), and say the cannot support OCF :-(

Not to forget: my test environment was WIN NT, (SP 5 and 6).
You may need Microsoft SmartCard Base components. I think they are packaged
with Towitoko terminals, but not with the downloaded drivers.
I found them here:

Have success!
