Hi Mario,

Hi again, Kevin.

To me, the instructions given in the webpage were inadequate.

Indeed, they seem incomplete.

How do I pass the parameters to the kernel?
It depends on how you load it. If you use GRUB, you can change the parameters temporarily by pressing 'e' on the entry you want to modify, and then IIRC it was 'enter' to boot with the current parameters, it's been a while since I used GRUB at all, let alone modify the parameters passed. The permanent ones I do recall, in most distros update-grub generates the config file from /etc/default/grub, there's a line GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=$a_quoted_string, add your new parameters at the end of the string.
I tried compile the DRM, and tried to install it with Ubuntu 10.04 i386.
And then what happened? Did you succeed? If not, at which point did you get stuck?
If KMS / DRM is working, I plan to transplant it to Zotac ZBOX nano which has
HDMI and DisplayPort (VX900H chipset).
If there is someone that got KMS / DRM working, let me know the precise way how
I compile DRM and activate KMS.
Last time I tried, it was sort of working. Last time I remember there was a pointer and systray corruption issue on Lubuntu ~10.04. I don't remember if I got to see it working correctly.
