Could this be memory capacity related? My guess what happens here is: OpenDNSSEC tries to extend the list of RRs in the removal part of the IXFR journal (it is currently at 32768 RRs to be removed!, the capacity is set to 65536 RRs). Could you provide me with details of the zone, its policy, the OS and which hardware is used? You may send it to me off list, or use https://issues.opendnssec.org/browse/OPENDNSSEC-269.
